Materia Urbana was founded in 2002 by an enterprising group that started working in an unexplored area in art and design. This large number of artists and designers have created unique and completely innovative artwork. Their items can be classified in four general lines: art, artist items, design, signature jewelry and clothing. The first two lines include artwork, paintings, drawings, engravings, sculptures, photographs, etc. The design items range from household items made from different material, such as leather, glass, wood and ceramics to ethnical games, mobiles and lighting. The jewelry line includes complex, sophisticated and luxurious designs that make up simple, elegant and affordable items, which reflect the personal style of each jeweler. Lastly, their clothing line also reflects the personal characteritics of each designer and there is also a wide variety of items in this line: you will find jackets made of different types of leather from the Patagonia, clothing items made of wool and silk, dresses with artistic designs, youthful designer clothing and T-shirts with different mot¡ves for children and adults. All of this comes together in absolute harmony and in a contrasting environment that includes modern items and old ceilings that date back to 1900.
