Maraxe is a Spanish restaurant in San Telmo, that has been recreating Spanish flavors for twelve years. The serve excellent simple dishes, especially with seafood.
According to the Dictionary of the Real Gallega Academy, Maraxe means a gentle breeze from the sea. This is the Gallega name given to a restaurant that gathers together the tradition of Spanish immigrants who arrived at the beginning of the century, honouring their culture, food, customs and ancestors. The surroundings are in warm brick and wood, designed to make one think of a familiar cavern. Be sure to try the paellas, grilled or salted fish, smoked chicken with original, homemade sauces, the pastas made in-house and the natillas. They will all make you want to come back for more.
