Shopping. Books Stores.
San Telmo surprises us once more with its intellectual life. Service at this book shop located on the corner of Estados Unidos and Chacabuco is provided by its owners, Patricia Malanca and Salvador Marcelo Gargiulo, the director of the "Puerto de Palos" publishing house. In the midst of the silence and the slight disorder, which you find in all good book shops, Patricia and Marcelo will look for and bring you the treasured pieces of literature you have always dreamed of possessing. Rare books, books that are out of print and special
editions, such as the 5000 volumes that were part of the library of Plácido Grela, a unique collection full of books about history and politics and which also includes the first editions of Eugenio Cambaceres, Leopoldo Lugones, Roberto Arlt, Jorge Luis Borges and Rodolfo Walsh. Among the rarities you will find "El Otro Lado de Perón," a book that Ernesto Sábato erased from his bibliography and that is very hard to find. You can take one of these relics, have a seat in the comfortable living room and read as much as you like without anyone bothering you. But, mind you, there are no sandwiches. Go and pay them a visit. Don't say I didn't mention it.
