The right place to have a coffee with an alfajor.

“Alfajores” (Argentine sandwich cookies) are part of Argentina's history. When we were children, they were the snack we used to take to school for recess, first in our little kindergarten bags and then in the pockets of our “guardapolvos” (a kind of coverall used by Argentine children at all public schools). Once our school days were over, they became part of those childhood memories that we relive whenever we have a craving for sweets. In Argentina, Havanna is the classic of all classics; it specializes in dark chocolate, white chocolate, milk chocolate and dulce de leche (caramel) alfajores, as well as in lemon cookies, Havannet cones and dulce de leche bars. Luckily, we now have a Havanna shop and café in San Telmo. It's definitely great news for those of us with a sweet tooth!!!
