An all-time classic in San Telmo. Among the many people who visted "Bar Sur" are Liza Minelli, Sean Conery, Mario Vargas Llosa and Christopher Lambert. Bar Sur is located on the ground floor of a three-story French-style building that was constructed in 1910. Two lanterns decorate the entry. The atmosphere is very intimate. It has a black and white checkered floor and Viennese-style wooden tables and chairs. You will also see an old coffee grinder, a sign with the name of the bar painted using the "filete" technique (a traditional local decorative painting technique), and an old "Omega" coffee machine.
