Food & Drink. Pubs.
Café del Árbol is located in front of the famous Dorrego Square. It is a place to enjoy an excellent coffee as well as cocktails and simple meals. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is located in the Plaza itself, where there are a number of tables and chairs under a giant ombú tree. This particular tree is rare and special because it does not have the leaves or fruit of a typical ombú. Inside the bar there are old wooden tables and Thonet chairs. The decorations include old violins, chandeliers, pots and pans, and vacuum cleaners like those used by our grandmothers. Hanging on the walls are caricatures by Caloi. Near the window there is a small stage where underground artists play anything from Cuban songs to covers (that is, interpretations) of Arjona, as well as Sabina and Ismael Serrano.
